Welcome to the Sisterhood of Reading blog. This is where we will write reviews, provide book recommendations, and just overall share some of our favorite bookish things.
This blog has been something that I have been wanting to do for a long time, and I am so glad to be finally making the move now. I’ve always been a reader, some of my earliest memories involve books. Growing up, there were summers spent going to the library and devouring all the books that the library let me take home. I found myself in books. Books could take me anywhere- from under the sea, to the wizarding world, to the stars, and everywhere in between.
That love of books never wained. I’ve always loved to share the books that I’ve read. I always wished to exist in a place where people come together over the love of books! My sister, Jo, got into reading when she got her first kindle almost a year ago now. It was exciting to be able to share with her all the books that I’ve read and loved. We have different genre interests- she prefers reading romance and I like a bit of everything. That’s ok though, because it’s our passion for reading and discovering new authors that inspired us to start the @sisterhood_of_reading on Instagram. We wanted to create a space where it doesn’t matter what types of books you read, how many books you read a year, or whether you own a million books or just bought your first book. It doesn’t matter if you’ve loved reading your entire life or just started reading yesterday. What matters is sharing books and inspiring others to love reading too! So that is what we are here to do!
Jo and I are both avid ARC readers. Through instagram we have been able to discover authors that we LOVE! I’ve recently joined NetGalley and have started being able to connect with authors there as well. It’s been an amazing experience so far and we are always excited when a new author or a seasoned author with a new book coming out, reaches out to us and wants us to read their books. Whether it’s your first book or your 50th book, we will read it with the same level of enthusiasm! We’ve gotten some amazing book recommendations from seeing other book lover’s reviews and our TBR lists are never ending!
