Her mom is pressuring her to settle down and ‘get serious.’ When Iris meets Stephania (Stevie), she is instantly attracted to her, but after they go home together Iris doesn’t think they will ever see each other again. Stevie’s friends made such a big deal of Stevie having a hookup that she lies to them and tell them that her and Iris will be going out again. Even though Stevie has no plans to ever see Iris again, the universe had other plans. When they run into each other again, they make a deal to fake date because Iris Kelly doesn’t date and Stevie needs to move on from an ex.
This book was cute. I think anyone can relate is you’ve ever been the single friend. Whether you want a relationship or not, people always giving you relationship advice and pressuring you. I love that Iris is so confident in herself and in her life, she won’t be shamed for her lifestyle. I love that Stevie really comes into her own. It shows that you can choose yourself and still choose to be a good partner.
