This is the best book that I’ve read so far in the series. It’s the 4th one I’ve read. This book started off strong. I am actually really glad, now having read this book, that I am reading the books in the order that I am reading them in. I feel like reading this book fourth tied together a lot of the story. This book explains a lot of Celaena’s past and her story as the world’s greatest assassin and how she came to be a prisoner.
The Assassin’s Blade is actually a 5 novella prequel to the ToG series:
The Assassin and the Pirate Lord
The Assassin and the Healer
The Assassin and the Desert
The Assassin and the Underworld
The Assassin and the Empire
Personally, I think it’s better to read this book 4th.
