I finally listened to the third book of this series on Audible, and I think these books get better as the story progresses.

Hades and Persephone are destined to be together, the fates have deemed it so. They are now engaged and planning a wedding. However, Persephone’s spiteful mother Demeter refuses to accept the pair. She creates a continuous snowstorm in New Greece, and refuses to lift the blizzard unless her daughter calls off her engagement. Thousands of people die because of the snow. Persephone calls on the Olympians to end Demeter and her storm. Demeter isn’t the only one standing between Persephone and Hades’ wedding, Zeus himself must approve of the match and won’t make it easy on them.

The Olympian Gods have ruled forever, but things seem to be turning in New Athens. Demeter’s storm is fueling the ager that mortals feel towards the Gods and a violent group Triad, is determined to take them down and start a war.

Persephone is still pretty annoying, but I like that she is learning to control her magic and is not relying on Hades to do everything for her. She was almost unbearably annoying in the first book. I have read a lot of reviews that say that there are a lot of misspellings and grammatical errors in the book, but I am so glad that I am listening to this book because that would drive me crazy. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this series and I can’t believe the cliffhanger this left me on. I need the next book!
